Il tema dell’edizione 2023 di Geografie sul Pasubio
TERRE, POPOLI, ISOLE MISTERIOSE

Tanti incontri possibili, tante idee e alla fine, quasi per caso, ecco delinearsi il tema dell’edizione 2023: terre, popoli, isole misteriose.
Il tutto ovviamente affrontato in modo moderno e trasversale in perfetto stile Geografie sul Pasubio e Keller editore.
Gli ospiti italiani e internazionali ci condurranno, quasi in una sorta di gioco di rimandi tra passato e presente, alla scoperta di terre che sono stati misteri da svelare nella storia dell’uomo e allo stesso tempo nelle terre tutte da scoprire di oggi. E con le terre ovviamente anche i popoli, le culture e tanto altro.
Dalla ricerca dell’El Dorado del XVI secolo a quello che oggi rimane delle terre colme di ricchezza di allora, dall’estremo Nord Est del pianeta, terra di conquista e fonte di materie prime, alle ultime aree in cui resistono una spiritualità e pratiche rituali ancestrali, e ancora le terre estreme e la forza e il coraggio delle donne che le abitano. Le ultime oasi di terre selvagge in Europa e la loro trasformazione a seguito dell’attuale guerra russo-ucraina, le vecchie linee di collegamento che dal cuore dell’Europa giungono fino agli stupefacenti confini raggiunti da Alessandro Magno…
Insomma c’è un sottile legame tra gli orizzonti che sono stati inseguiti per millenni e quegli stessi orizzonti oggi. E poi ci sono zone e aree che sentiamo nominare ma di cui non sappiamo nulla. Ovviamente parlare di terre misteriose e orizzonti da scoprire ci mette di fronte anche alla consapevolezza che i nostri racconti spesso si riducono al limitato punto di osservazione di Europei e occidentali…
A Geografie sul Pasubio impareremo molto, anche sullo sguardo degli altri.

THE THEME OF THE 2023 EDITION

Plenty of possible encounters and plenty of ideas, and finally, almost by chance, the theme of the 2023 edition emerged: lands, communities, mysterious islands. All approached, of course, in a modern and transversal way in perfect Geographies on the Pasubio and Keller publisher style.
Italian and international guests will lead us, almost in a sort of game of cross-references between past and present, to the discovery of lands that have been mysteries to be unveiled in human history and at the same time in the undiscovered lands of today. And together with the lands obviously also the peoples, cultures and much more.
From the search for the El Dorado of the 16th century to what remains today of the lands filled with wealth of that time, from the far northeast of the planet land of conquest and source of raw materials to the last areas where a spirituality and ancestral ritual practices endure, and again the remote lands and the strength and courage of the women who inhabit them. The last oases of wilderness in Europe and their transformation as a result of the current Russian-Ukrainian war, the old lines of connection from the heart of Europe to the astonishing borders reached by Alexander the Great…
